Conference Table Infrared Emitter The ICON-TR60 Infrared Conference Emitter is an advanced, self-contained infrared emitter combining extreme portability with ease of use for conference and boardroom tables, group therapy sessions, and jury deliberation rooms. Hotels, corporate boardrooms, psychologists, courts, and other applications utilizing inward facing seating, such as around a table, or in a circle, find the ICON to be both economical and effective. Unlike other wireless technologies that transmit outside the room, infrared offers the assurance that no one is able to eavesdrop on the transmitter signal whenever the door is closed. This is especially important for corporations in their board and planning meeting, jury deliberation rooms, and when used in consultation or group therapy. In these cases, the Audex “Texas Pyramid” provides all of the security necessary in a wireless assistive listening system. The ICON-TR60 utilizes sixty, eighty degree, high gain diodes installed fifteen per side on a 9¼” tall, four sided pyramid shaped cone. Powered by a 24 volt, 50VA UL/CSA approved wall transformer, the unit features an on/off switch with external fuse for convenience and safety. The audio driver circuit is controlled by the new Audex COC design, which insures 92% efficiency of the infrared diode emitting system. Hot or cold, the unit is instantly at optimum light generation, insuring maximum coverage for all circular applications. Inputs include four ¼” electret microphone and one line level RCA auxiliary jacks. With an effective two stage AGC circuit, the strongest signal sets the overall gain of the system based on the loudest input. When the auxiliary input is used, the microphones are effectively muted when line level audio is active. When multiple microphones are used, the one nearest the speaker sets the gain for the others, creating a drop in sensitivity of the overall system. This has the effect of reducing background noise whenever anyone is speaking into any microphones. When used at a long table, four microphones in addition to the internal mic in the tip, can be placed at intervals in the center of the table, or suspended from the ceiling above the seats. When the room is arranged in a circular seating pattern, the ICON can be placed in the center of the circle at table height, or suspended from, or imbedded into the ceiling. The internal microphone located in the tip of the unit can service small meetings of 4-6 people without additional plug-in microphones. It is recommended that each speaker be seated within 3-4’ of a microphone for best results. Since the Audex LighthLink REC-T3 receiver is resistant to electronic ballast lighting interference, all of the advantages of 95KHz broadband technology is available with this emitter system for courts, universities, and corporations. When aesthetics are important, this unit can be custom colored to blend with the decor. With these features, no other brand of infrared emitter offers anything close to the cost effectiveness unique efficiency of the “TEXAS PYRAMID”! |
